Where We’re Going

Our History

CFG Health (CFG) was founded in 1999 in response to a critical need for behavioral health services within the New Jersey Department of Corrections. Recognizing the gap in mental health support for incarcerated individuals, CFG set out to provide comprehensive care that addresses the unique challenges faced by this population.

In its early years, CFG focused primarily on behavioral health, establishing a strong foundation and reputation for delivering high-quality services. As the demand for holistic care grew, CFG quickly expanded its offerings to include medical services in correctional facilities across New Jersey. Pioneering the concept of integrated care, CFG became one of the first companies to combine medical and behavioral health services, ensuring that the comprehensive health needs of incarcerated individuals were met.

CFG made significant strides in healthcare innovation by embracing telehealth services in 2003. This early adoption positioned CFG as a pioneer in utilizing technology to enhance accessibility and efficiency in delivering care to incarcerated persons. Through telehealth, CFG was able to connect patients with medical and behavioral health professionals, breaking down barriers to treatment and improving overall health outcomes. As an organization, CFG continues to invest in technology and innovation.

In recent years, CFG Health has continued to evolve and adapt to the changing landscape of correctional healthcare. The company has invested in advanced training for its staff, implemented innovative care models, and expanded its telehealth capabilities to enhance service delivery. CFG remains committed to advocating for the health and well-being of incarcerated individuals, focusing on mental health, substance use treatment, and overall wellness.

As CFG Health moves forward, we aim to expand our services regionally, reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive, integrated healthcare for all incarcerated individuals. We are dedicated to advancing the field of correctional health services through continuous innovation, research, and advocacy, ensuring that every individual receives the care they need and deserve.
