Dr. Jason Perlman is a distinguished leader in telemedicine, recognized for his transformative contributions to healthcare across the U.S. A seasoned hospitalist physician, he served as Associate Professor and Director of Hospital Medicine at Atrium Health, where he established the institution’s first hospital medicine fellowship and acted as Medical Director for the North Carolina Medicaid Program, influencing healthcare policy and driving initiatives aimed at improving quality and cost-effectiveness.
Dr. Perlman founded several healthcare companies, most notably a telemedicine organization that quickly became the largest in post-acute care. Under his leadership, this company focused on enhancing care coordination and leveraging digital medicine to reduce emergency department visits and prevent avoidable readmissions. In addition to his work in post-acute care, Dr. Perlman has made significant strides in correctional healthcare through his initiatives with Cromford Health. His telemedicine programs address critical areas such as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorder and chronic care management, providing quality care while reducing the risks associated with off-site transportation.
